Finding Aids

Search for archival finding aids of Dupré Library's special collections. Finding aids include biographical information on the collection, scope, and contents, and detailed descriptions of where materials are in the collection. Simply add keywords in the search bar to generate collections and items in the archival repositories, or use the Collections link in the menu to browse the full listing.

The University Archives & Acadiana Manuscripts Collection repository houses the archival records of the University starting in 1900 as well as personal or family papers, business or organizational records, photographs, oral history recordings, and much more from the Acadiana region of Louisiana, but several have a much broader scope.

The Cajun and Creole Music Collection repository contains commercial recordings, selected non-commercial recordings, and other music-related research materials from Southwest and parts of Southeast Louisiana.

The Ernest J. Gaines Center repository honors the published works, unpublished manuscripts, gallery proofs, and newspaper clippings of the University's Writer-in-Residence Emeritus.
