Biography
Joseph Urban received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1977. He was a Professor and Chairman at Department of Computer Science, Texas Tech University. He worked at the University of Miami, the University of Southwestern Louisiana, part-time at the University of South Carolina while with the U.S. Army Signal Center, and Arizona State University. He has authored more than 90 technical papers and has supervised the development of seven software specification languages. His research areas include software engineering, computer languages, data engineering and distributed computing.
