Scope and Contents The materials in this collection include Dr. Martin’s research on his political biography of Russell B. Long, a U.S. Senator and member of Louisiana’s most influential political family. Research files consist mostly of Long speeches photocopied from the Congressional Record spanning from 1949 to the mid-1980s, along with some news articles and hand-written notes.
