This collection contains photocopies of letters to Laurie, Louis Stagg’s sweetheart then wife, written in French with typed copies and translations. Written from Ville Platte, Louisiana and Opelousas, Louisiana before the war, and Camp Moore, Louisiana; Tupelo, Mississippi; Jackson, Mississippi; and Chattanooga, Tennessee during the war.
Gene Ardoin donated the collection.
