Scope and Contents
The Acadian Sierra Club Records contain organizational records including minutes, photographs of outings, scrapbook and clippings of club events and environmental issues, newsletters, solicitations, and other materials. Local environmental issues of interest include the Port of Iberia Channel, Atchafalaya Basin, Bayou Mallet, coastal zone management, shell dredging, Kisatchie Hills Wilderness Area, nuclear energy and radioactive wastes.
Material in this collection through 1987 was donated by Carl R. Froitzheim. Material after 1987 was donated by Bruce Turner.
