Campaign Organizations: Election Returns, 1912, 1920
Scope and Contents
Although there are some out of order 1920 campaign materials in this series, Series E basically contains materials related to political matters after ESB entered the Senate in March 1921 until his death in 1934.
Materials from ESB's 1926 campaign, waged with the cooperation of Huey Long, comprise the bulk of this series, although there is considerable material from the 1932 campaign as well.
Also included in this series are documents related to ESB's quarrel with Long, including the Paul Cyr Supreme Court case and the Senate investigation into the 1932 campaign, as well as other political materials.
All of Series E is available on microfilm.
