Biographical / Historical
Bradley Hugh Pollock was born March 16, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from James H. Bowen High School in June 1973 and received his B.A. degree at Oberlin College on May 1977, majoring in history. He then received his M.A. from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) in May 1980 and his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1988. He taught history at USL from 1984 until his death in 2009.
Dr. Pollock was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Alpha Theta, Pi Gamma Mu, Louisiana Historical Association, Southwestern Historical Association, and others. He published several papers and appeared on the Acadiana Open Channel.
