Biographical / Historical
Frances M. Hadnott was born on June 25, 1930 and was a resident of New Iberia, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Iberia Parish Training School (IPTS) and attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She worked as a substitute teacher in Iberia Parish and provided private piano lessons for nearly three decades.
Ms. Hadnott’s voluntary services to community organizations, initiatives, and public services include United Givers Fund, Iberia Parish Tourist Commission, the Board of Directors for Council on Aging and Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Make-A-Difference, Christmas Project, RIF Chairperson, March of Dimes, Books for Babies, and Iberia Medical Center (Pink Ladies). She passed away on March 28, 2014 in New Iberia, Louisiana and is buried at St. Matthew Cemetery in New Iberia.
