The collection contains family papers and invoices collected by Virgil and Joseph Frozard. A great number of these documents are in French.
Yvonne Olivier and Louise V. Olivier, descendants of Agricole Olivier, donated this collection.

Biographical / Historical
Virgil Frozard was born on March 6, 1798 in Louisiana to Joseph and Marie née Barbe. In 1842 he built the Frozard Plantation House in Grand Coteau. It has also been known as the Olivier Plantation. He died on July 9, 1849 in Grand Coteau.
Joseph Frozard was born on September 30, 1836 to Virgil and Eloise Frozard née Savoie. He married Coralie Frozard née Robin in 1862. He died on September 28, 1897.
