These include published articles and deeds documenting chains of title and historical events from the early Spanish land grants to the Mouton family’s Walnut Grove Plantation, the acquisitions by fashion icon Henri Bendel, and the 1950s development of Bendel Gardens subdivision.

This collection consists of the Rose-Hayes families of Petite Anse Island and allied families research papers. Elizabeth Hayes settled on Avery Island in the early 1790s. She is believed to be the first of the Hayes family to migrate there. Edmond Rose was from North Carolina. He arrived at Weeks Island, January 7, 1815.

Genealogy records of Isadore Leon Sonnier were compiled from genealogy files of Willie Ray Sonnier and David Leon Sonnier by Isadore Leon Sonnier and Claudine Box Sonnier. This collection consists of a pedigree chart of Isadore Leon Sonnier with additions/corrections. Sonnier is also the author and copyright holder of Cajun Boy: The Story of Acadiana, 1980, out of print. Donated by Isadore L. Sonnier.
