Scope and Contents

During World War I, King George V distributed a letter to American soldiers offering thanks and support for their entering the war on the side of the Allies.This particular letter was sent to Army soldier Alonzo Daniel McClain, who lived in Louisiana. Jeanne McClain Veazey, daughter of Alonzo McClain donated the collection.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains three separate series of documents collected by Woodrow Marshall. The first are several 18th century legal documents from Great Britain written on sheepskin. The second series contains miscellaneous financial reports and correspondence of the Castillo Family of New Orleans and St. Martinville, 1837-1897. Third are miscellaneous papers related to Alexander Thibodeaux of Breaux Bridge, 1873-1889, n.d.
