This collection contains Mr. Baudouin’s personal papers, which are divided into two major series: personal files and working files. The personal files include certificates, correspondence, notes, postcards, and some education material. The working files include his writings, materials on education and politics, photographs, and audiovisual materials.
Bec Doux. Cartoons, n.d.
“Bec Doux” was a weekly newspaper comic strip written in Cajun French. The strip was co-written by Ken Meaux (art) and Early Comeaux (text). It was published for the first time in The Kaplan Herald in August 1969 and ran on a weekly basis for over twenty years. The collection includes photographs of Meaux and Comeaux, as well as the artwork for the comic strips.

Broussard, Alton E. (1911-1983). Collection, 1953-1983
This collection contains the writings of Alton Broussard. The first volume is the entire "Lafayette Guide" newspaper. The two scrapbooks contain his articles from other newspapers, such as the "Daily Advertiser." The list of “Points of Interests in the 'Lafayette Guide'” were compiled by Sam Broussard.
Alton Broussard’s children, Mary Perrin, Sam, and Alton “Skip” II, and his son-in-law, Warren Perrin, donated this collection.

Freeland, Paul B. (1904-1976). Collection, 1888-1957, n.d.
This collection contains a large number of photographs and printed material on the cultivation and manufacturing of rice. Many of the photographs show rice farming, irrigation, equipment, and milling in the Crowley, Louisiana region. Most of the photographs are copy prints. The Barnett Studio of Crowley took many of the photographs. There are also newspapers including the "Golden Jubilee" edition of the "Crowley Signal", publications, pamphlets, and other printed material.
Gentil, Jean S. (1829-1911). Papers, 1856-1976
Almost everything in the collection is a photocopy of either publications or documents from the Kurtz Collection at the Louisiana Research Library, Tulane University. There is also a framed portrait of M. Gentil.
Mrs. Olympe (Mrs. William) Butcher of Lafayette gathered the material and donated it to UAAMC.
