Scope and Contents

This collection contains correspondence, reports, passbook and membership cards, benefit booklets for the Pension Trust Fund and other miscellaneous materials as well. There is also some material from the Louisiana AFL-CIO especially regarding political issues and opposition to Right-to-Work Law. This collection was donated by Carl R. Froitzheim. Scope and Contents Frank Charles Triay was a resident of Lafayette who was an active in the Socialist Party (US) and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. The scrapbook reflects those interests. It contains newspaper clippings on primarily socialism and politics including many political cartoons with other clippings on scattered topics including the Triay family, the labor union, parapsychology, the World War II.
