Scope and Contents This collection reflects Miss Dupré’s life and the high regard in which she was held by the community. Family, church, and the education of youth were very important to her. The collection contains personal and family papers including correspondence, organizational material, photographs, and financial records. There is much correspondence with William M. Fulham when he was working on a biography and edition of letters of Miss Dupré’s brother, Congressman Henry Garland Dupré (1873-1924)....

This collection consists of Dr. Griffin’s personal papers, including writings, speeches, correspondence, and materials he collected reflecting his interest in south Louisiana history, political science, education, and civic affairs. The material collected on local history consists mainly of newspaper clippings, including many written by Mario Mamalakis.

Scope and Contents This collection reflects the work of both Lucile Mouton Griffin and her husband, Harry L. Griffin, and Mrs. Griffin's interest in Mouton family history. The personal portion contains scrapbooks kept by Mrs. Griffin before her marriage including her years as a student at SLII and material from her graduate school work at the University of Chicago and Columbia University. This collection contains two scrapbooks that Ms. Guilbeau compiled during her time at SLII. The scrapbooks contain letters, clippings, written entries, stamps, and other miscellaneous items collected by Ms. Guilbeau. Separate from the scrapbooks, the collection also includes a speech she gave to high school students and a couple of photographs.

Nancy Oliver (her granddaughter) and James Guilbeau (her nephew) donated the collection.

Scope and Contents The Margaret Stephens Jochem Papers reflect the life of the first President’s daughter. The collection includes photographs, newspaper articles, and works of the Stephens’, such as numerous writings of President Stephens and Mrs. Jochem’s thesis on SLI and her “Life Story of Edwin Lewis Stephens”.
