Series A: Scrapbooks
Scope and Contents
The first scrapbook includes birthday and Christmas cards, graduation programs and invitations, postcards, game tickets, cigarette packs, news clippings, and various souvenirs and small artifacts. The second scrapbook includes similar items but with telegrams from Royal. Both scrapbooks are in fragile condition and have been digitized. The digital photographs are from a scrapbook found in the home of Claire Margaret and Norton Garcia in Jeanerette and generally depict members of the Landry and Escagne families and friends. Images are identified with names and numbers, with comments written on the back of some photos. The collection also includes two panoramic photographs of Camp Beauregard (La.) during World War One, both of which were separated to the archives map case.
