Biographical / Historical
John Henry Kirby and Amanda Kirby Fortenberry were siblings from Houston, Texas, born to John Thomas and Sarah Payne Kirby. John Kirby was the founder of Kirby Petroleum Company owning several sawmills and lumber companies in Texas.
