Biographical / Historical

Adam Olivier Morton, Sr. was born on July 23, 1879 and was a resident of Abbeville, Louisiana (Vermilion Parish). He married Edia LeBlanc Morton and they had five children. He worked for the Texas Company for 40 years. He was a member of the City Council of Abbeville, as well as Chief of Police, Constable and Ex-Officio Tax Collector of Abbeville. He died at the age of 76 and is buried at the Old Catholic Cemetery in Abbeville.
