Francis C. Grevemberg served as Superintendent of State Police under Gov. Robert F. Kennon during the years 1952-1955. In October 1953, two troopers sitting in the back seat of his patrol car began reminiscing about the night that Gov. Long was shot in the state capitol. This is an affidavit of what was said. The affidavit is photocopied. Unknown donor.

This collection contains the minutes of the Lafayette Parish Police Jury from 1823 to 1833.

The source of the microfilm is not indicated. The film was acquired by the Center for Louisiana Studies as an extension of the Colonial Louisiana Records Collection. That collection was transferred to the University Archives and Acadiana Manuscripts Collection in 2013.
