Biographical / Historical
David L. Perkins and Dan P. Branch were architects from Lafayette who worked on a project to establish a “Louisiana Gulf Coast Petroleum Energy Museum.” The objective of the museum was to collect, preserve, study, and exhibit significant objects of the petroleum industry, as well as increasing public knowledge and understanding of this indigenous enterprise. This museum was to be located near Vermilionville and Beaver Park. The project did not go through.
