Scope and Contents

This collection contains materials belonging to and collected by Ms. Boutte over the years. Subjects include Cajun music and dance, festivals, plants and gardening, and Louisiana history. Much of the collection contains material related to Belizaire the Cajun.

This is a collection of movie flyers advertising motion-pictures which appeared in local movie theaters, especially the Bailey in Opelousas. The flyers are arranged alphabetically by title of movie.

This collection consists of correspondence to and from orphans, news clippings, magazine articles, materials on Jewish connections, Orphan Train Heritage Society newsletters, and material about the movie, Orphan Train.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of extras’ contracts, director’s notes, script drafts, photographs, and promotional material all pertaining to Glen Pitre’s movie "Belizaire the Cajun". It includes numerous drafts of the script, including a portion of a draft in French, and handwritten pieces of drafts. The film used mostly local Acadiana talent for work as extras.
