This collection consists of Dr. Carsten’s personal and working files. Her personal files include materials on education, church activities, her dissertation, and Greek organizations. Her working files include her work with and outside of UL Lafayette, committees, and programs. There are also books with topics ranging from libraries to music.

Scope and Contents This collection reflects Miss Dupré’s life and the high regard in which she was held by the community. Family, church, and the education of youth were very important to her. The collection contains personal and family papers including correspondence, organizational material, photographs, and financial records. There is much correspondence with William M. Fulham when he was working on a biography and edition of letters of Miss Dupré’s brother, Congressman Henry Garland Dupré (1873-1924)....

This collection contains material gathered for his book “Handbook of the American Frontier.” Also included are handwritten notes for the books he authored, and information on the organizations for which he volunteered his time. Furthermore, there is large number of copied documents related to the German Prisoner of War Camp at Camp Ruston, 1943-1945.

Scope and Contents This collection contains the degrees of Cecile M. Judice from Southwestern Louisiana Institute, Louisiana State University, and a degree from Southwestern Louisiana Institute for her sister Amelie M. Judice. The collection also consists of a LSU Alumni life membership certificate, USL Golden Anniversary certificates, commencement program, a list of the graduating class of 1928, speeches from 1978 and 1979 graduation, and photographs with descriptions of the 1928 graduating class....

This collection consists of correspondence, speeches, transcripts of interviews, publicity, and other materials dealing with the Recorder of Documents. This collection also contains (2) reels of microfilm of scrapbooks dated 1948-1975. The scrapbooks contain newspaper articles and miscellaneous publicity. There are also copies of an interview of Margaret T. Lane on cassette tapes.
