Budden, Allen "Chuck" (1902-1994). Collection, 1927
This collection consists of photographs taken during the flood of 1927 in Palmetto. Budden's brother-in-law “Swan” Williams, who was with the U.S. Coast Guard, took most of the photographs. The rest of the photographs were collected over the years from other people. These photographs are digitized and copied to a CD.

Camp Thistlethwaite is located on Bayou Cocodrie, four (4) miles north of Washington, Louisiana in St. Landry Parish. This is a camp site used by the Boys Scouts of America.

This collection reflects Gardiner’s judicial and civic activities, especially after 1949. The collection came in with the James H. Bradshaw Papers. Mrs. Bradshaw was the granddaughter of Judge Gardiner’s second wife, Norma Summers Gardiner.
