This collection consists of personal files, working files, and artifacts and oversize. The first part of his working files pertain to Athletics and the second part pertains to horse racing from the period when he was the publicity director at Evangeline Downs. In these files, there are photographs, correspondence, publications, newspaper articles, and pamphlets.

Scope and Contents This collection reflects Hennessy's coaching career and his efforts to promote the sport of trampoline. It contains information on his USL squads and results of many of the meets in which they participated. The collection also has records reflecting Hennessy's involvement in international organizations.There is a good deal of material on Hennessy's most successful pupils: Frank Schmitz, Wayne Miller, Leigh Hennessy, and Judi Ann Ford. This collection consists of records from Southwestern Louisiana Institute (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) for the I.A. & O.A. from 1910 through 1978. These records are arranged chronologically and consist of publications, correspondence, minutes of meeting, and the constitution and by-laws of the organization.
