This collection consists of copies of her research, writings, and lessons. Such topics include Louisiana history, women, and Cajun culture. Languages of the materials include English, French, and Spanish.

This collection is divided into three groups: national, state, and local. It contains organizational records, correspondence, bylaws, conference and convention materials, minutes, reports, and other miscellaneous materials.

This collection was initially donated by Laura C. Edwards. Subsequent donations have come from other AAUW members.

Scope and Contents He collected a large amount of secondary and primary material on the history of Louisiana. The primary material includes copies of items related to Acadian vigilante committees and the business records of William Wyatt of Vernon, Louisiana. Much of the secondary material was removed from the collection since it duplicated items already cataloged in the Louisiana Room. (A list of the removed items is appended to the inventory.) This collection consists of Dr. Griffin’s personal papers, including writings, speeches, correspondence, and materials he collected reflecting his interest in south Louisiana history, political science, education, and civic affairs. The material collected on local history consists mainly of newspaper clippings, including many written by Mario Mamalakis.

This collection contains miscellaneous items from various high schools, colleges, universities, and educational institutions in Louisiana. Items include commencement invitations, class listings, programs, publicity, and reports. The folders are listed by school name in alphabetical order.
