It also contains 3 years of the "Kaplan Sentinel Newsletter" which Hanks edited, and records of the Evangeline Canal Company, including minutes and legal records. This company was headquartered in Kaplan, LA.
Amanda S. Hanks loaned most of this collection to SAMC (now UAAMC) to be photocopied. Whitney Broussard delivered the collection.
