This collection contains personal items from a scrapbook - mainly clippings and photographs. It also contains 3 years of the "Kaplan Sentinel Newsletter" which Hanks edited, and records of the Evangeline Canal Company, including minutes and legal records. This company was headquartered in Kaplan, LA.

Amanda S. Hanks loaned most of this collection to SAMC (now UAAMC) to be photocopied. Whitney Broussard delivered the collection.

Miscellaneous records of the Louisiana Medallion Society. Includes brochure, correspondence, newsletter, and five silver medallions. Donated by Louisiana Medallion Society.

Throughout much of the company’s existence, a monthly newsletter called ODECO Soundings was released to highlight the activities and accomplishments of ODECO. This collection contains issues of the newsletter from 1969 to 1991.
