Staats (Statts) L. Greig was born in 1760 in Scotland and died in Lafayette, LA in 1841.Staats married Elizabeth McGregor [Gregory?]. Elizabeth was born in 1760 in Scotland and died in 1838. Both are buried at the St John's Catholic Cemetery in Lafayette. They were believed to have been Protestant. The Staats and Elizabeth Greig had four children: George (ca. 1781-1820), William (1785-?), Elizabeth (1794-ca.1860), and John (1796-1851). For more information see control folder.
