Biography
John Greig, the fourth child of Staats (Statts) L. Greig and Elizabeth McGregory, was born in 1796 in Scotland and died in Lafayette in 1851. He married Angelica Talor in 1825 in Lafayette Parish. They had 11 children: Anne (1827-ca. 1850), Elizabeth (1829-?), Antolin (1830-ca. 1855, John Jr. (1832-1855), Duncan (1833 or 1838-1910), Sidney (1835-?) Arthur (1837-?), Lydia (1838-?), Helen (1839-1923), and Martha T (1842-1906), Joseph (1844-?). For more information please see the control folder.
