This collection contains microfilm copies of civil records from Ascension Parish from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The records were filmed in 1971 by the Southwestern Archives and Manuscripts Collection for the Center for Louisiana Studies as an extension of the Colonial Louisiana Records Collection. That collection was transferred to the University Archives and Acadiana Manuscript Collection in 2013.

Scope and Contents This collection has three parts. The first twelve reels contain the records of the Diocese of Louisiana and the Floridas, 1576-1803. The records were microfilmed by the University of Notre Dame (where the originals are housed) in 1967 through a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission. This collection consists of Conrad’s personal papers. These include ticket stubs, IDs and library cards, conference and symposium packets, invitations, announcements, programs, and flyers from events Conrad attended.
