This collection contains microfilm copies of civil records from Ascension Parish from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The records were filmed in 1971 by the Southwestern Archives and Manuscripts Collection for the Center for Louisiana Studies as an extension of the Colonial Louisiana Records Collection. That collection was transferred to the University Archives and Acadiana Manuscript Collection in 2013.

Scope and Contents This collection contains civil records from Assumption Parish from the 18th and 19th centuries, including original acts, conveyances, marriages, mortgages, sheriff’s sales and miscellaneous records.Reels 1 and 2 were filmed by G.R. and A.A. Scope and Contents This collection has three parts. The first twelve reels contain the records of the Diocese of Louisiana and the Floridas, 1576-1803. This collection consists of Conrad’s personal papers. These include ticket stubs, IDs and library cards, conference and symposium packets, invitations, announcements, programs, and flyers from events Conrad attended. During the years he was in school, notes from classes, drafts of papers, and course syllabi are also included, as well as personal ephemera.

Scope and Contents This collection contains civil records from Iberia Parish beginning in 1868, when the Parish was founded. Series include Conveyances, Marriage Records, Probates and Successions, and miscellaneous records. Most series end in the 1880s, except the Marriage Records, which continue through 1916. The bulk of the collection contains nomination forms for buildings, sites, and districts to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are some administrative records mainly related to meetings. The nomination forms are arranged alphabetically, and the administrative records are arranged chronologically.
