Lindig, Carmen (1924-2004). Collection, 1870-1980
This collection consists of research conducted by Dr. Lindig on notable Louisiana women, women’s rights, and the Equal Rights Amendment. It includes biographical information on prominent women in Louisiana as well as newspaper clippings related to the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. It also includes information on Louisiana Laws, statistics on women, and women’s organizations in Louisiana. The collection includes notes taken by Dr. Lindig on her research.

The bulk of the collection was donated by Miss Willie Wynn White, daughter of the late H.H. White of Alexandria, Louisiana.

Included are her writings for the Advertiser’s Sunday Real Estate section, and other Louisiana writings on topics such as Mardi Gras, Lafayette, Louisiana material, etc. Her working files are organized by subject and then alphabetically. This collection also included a large collection of personal photographs.

Miscellaneous Louisiana Newspapers. Collection, 1830-1995
This collection contains microfiched unbound Louisiana newspapers dating from 1830 to 1995. Most are from Southwestern Louisiana, although there are some from the northern part of the state.
The Lafayette Gazette from 1893 through 1908 are originals unbound in oversize boxes.
Norris Ceaser donated some editions of the Lafayette Daily Advertiser, the Times Picayune: Dixie Photomagazine, and Tiger Talk.

This collection contains photocopies of letters, notes, and genealogy research of various members of the Mistrot and related families. Janice Smith of Virginia donated this collection.
